We are pleased to be running a fringe event at conference this Autumn on Saturday at 9am.
After the success of our event last year focussing on migrant destitution, this year we are bring migrant voices to the conference to inform members on what it is like to live under the hostile environment, what the effects of the immigration rules are, and how it feels to be a migrant in the current political environment.
A Hostile Environment
A migrant led discussion on state violence in the asylum and immigration system.

Migrant Voice is a migrant-led national organisation building a community of migrant voices to speak for ourselves and call for justice for all. We put migrant voices at the centre of the migration debate by developing the skills and confidence of migrants, including asylum seekers and refugees across the UK.
Praxis is an award-winning human rights charity fighting for migrant rights since 1983. We give advice, provide support, and campaign so that migrants and refugees in the UK can live with safety, dignity and respect. We may be small, but we are mighty- and we will not give in. Whether times are good or bad, the Praxis community won’t stop resisting the hostile environment. And together, we can build a country where everyone can thrive.
Regularise is a campaign whose primary goal is to obtain rights for undocumented migrants who are already living in the United Kingdom. This is so they may work, marry, and access housing, healthcare and other services that are currently denied to them. This is so they may live without fear of being detained or forcibly removed (or deported), and without danger of being exploited & discriminated against due to not having regularised immigration status.
On Sunday at 1:30pm, we will also be running a messaging and myth-busting workshop for all members.
